PM E-Bike Scheme 2026 (PAVE Pakistan)

The PM E-Bike Scheme is a federal support programme for people who want a lower-cost electric bike in Pakistan. The main idea is simple: help eligible buyers reduce the upfront price of an approved e-bike and make cleaner daily travel easier. On the latest published status, Phase 1 is closed, while the next phase is expected to open on the official PAVE portal.

Current PAVE status

EDB currently states that the first PAVE phase has closed and the second phase will be announced through pave.gov.pk and the EDB website. In September 2026, EDB is still pre-qualifying electric two-wheeler manufacturers for Phase II and later phases.

Do not submit an application on a third-party website. If the PAVE portal is not accepting applications, wait for the official Phase II opening notice.

Who can apply?

The published PAVE eligibility is straightforward. The final Phase II portal can add or refine requirements, so check the live form when it opens.

Pakistani citizen

You need a valid CNIC.

18 or older

The applicant must be at least 18 years old.

Driving eligibility

You must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driving licence where provincial rules require it.

One-time benefit

Each applicant can receive the subsidy for one electric bike under the scheme.

How the Rs80,000 subsidy works

The subsidy is not paid as cash to the applicant. PAVE documents say the fixed Rs80,000 amount is paid to the approved OEM/manufacturer, reducing the price you pay for the selected e-bike.

Choose an approved model

The digital platform lists pre-qualified manufacturers and models.

Pay the reduced price

You pay the price after the government subsidy is already deducted.

Delivery and registration

The approved manufacturer handles delivery and vehicle registration, then uploads the transaction for verification.

How to apply when Phase II opens

When the next phase opens, use the official PAVE portal and keep your basic details ready. The exact screens can change, but the process is expected to stay portal-based.

Open PAVE

Open the official PAVE portal after the next phase opening notice is announced.

Enter your details

Provide your CNIC, contact information and any details requested in the live form.

Select an approved e-bike

Choose from the pre-qualified manufacturer and model list on the portal.

Complete the process

Follow the portal's payment and verification steps and keep your application reference safe.

PM scheme or Maryam Nawaz Punjab scheme?

They are separate programmes. PAVE is a federal electric-vehicle subsidy programme. The Maryam Nawaz CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme is for eligible students in Punjab and has its own portal, deadline and instalment plan.
